One of the United Kingdom's leading Internet media companies specialized in website publishing and online advertising, has decided to sell its online gaming information portal “gambling.com”, after being approached by a number of online gaming companies looking to acquire the domain.

The company thinks that a formal auction process with “the world’s leading domain name broker will achieve the best possible outcome and valuation as Sedo is uniquely positioned to present the domain to global gambling brands and other qualified buyers”.

The money generated from the purchase of the gambling.com domain will probably go towards to a number of exciting acquisition opportunities in online gaming and an online advertising space.
Gambling.com, one of the most wanted online gambling names in the world of online gaming, could bring Online Media over $10 million.

Online Media is also known for buying and selling domain names for a profit. In the past, the company received £3.62 million from the selling of the “Casino.co.uk” and another £330,000 for the German domain “Casino.de”.

“While the group has significant cash reserves, we have recently seen a number of exciting acquisition opportunities in the online gambling and online advertising space,” said Justin Drummond, Chief Executive Officer for Media Corporation.
“The successful sale of Gambling.com will give the group significant financial resources to pursue these acquisition opportunities.”
